Welcome! What can you expect when you visit Peace? You’ll encounter a group of people who understand “church” as something more than just a place to be on Sunday mornings. You’ll meet people who look a lot like you do- students, working people and retired folks who are learning to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Most will be dressed in a business casual style, but you’ll find T-shirts and shorts in the summer. All styles of dress are welcome; we are more interested in who you are than what you look like!
We gather together to seek God’s guidance and listen for God’s direction, so we may step out in service to our neighbors – locally, nationally, and internationally. We serve God and neighbor through multiple outreach opportunities including a local Soup Kitchen, making winter hats for elementary school children in a neighboring township, as well as assembling health kits for people nationally and overseas. Prayer ministry and Bible Study are foundational ministries that strengthen our faith and draw us closer to God and each other.
As our world faces national and global challenges, we’re working to be part of the solution. We support the NALC Disaster Relief Team and several members of our congregation have traveled to the NALC Disaster Relief Warehouse for mission trips. You’ll find many options for engaging your faith here at Peace!

Welcome to our website! I’m glad you have the interest and are taking the time to learn about us. Peace is living out its second quarter-century, and we are optimistic about the future God has in store for us.
I came to Peace in the Fall of 2016. My wife, Loretta, and I moved to SW Michigan from the western suburbs of the Metro-Denver Area. We have three children; the oldest two have chosen to remain in the Denver area, while the youngest is now in the process of joining the Poor Clare order of nuns.
I’m originally from downstate New York, born in Brooklyn and raised 20 miles east of Manhattan on Long Island. While I’ve always been active in a church, my first career was in Chemical Engineering, working to remove metallic salts from spent plating baths and rinse waters. I moved to the suburbs of Boston to pursue my career when God called me to pursue ordained ministry. When I’m asked how I can reconcile engineering and pastoring a congregation, I joke that I still work with water!
I’ve lived in NY, MA, IL, WI, CO and now MI. I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, bicycling, Contra Dancing and most home improvement projects. I enjoy watching God work among his people through his Word and Sacraments, and I hope you will be enticed to “come and see” what God is doing in this ministry. We aren’t the largest congregation in the area, but we have much to offer.
