Brent has served in a wide range of ministerial, board, and academic positions: senior pastor for more than thirty years, interim minister; visiting lecturer; federal prison chaplain; academic instructor; certified spiritual director, certified grief counselor, and coach and spiritual director to pastors. The son of Wycliffe Bible translators serving the Carrier indigenous people of British Columbia, his early years on a reservation shaped his Christian world view and his desire to serve marginalized people on the edge of society. As a pastor, Brent’s passionate desire is to help others dis-cover the hope of God’s presence at the core of their being.
